About
Louise Ann Wilson at Vibrant Matter supports clients who are recovering from surgery, medical treatment, or injury. To do this, she offers a range of therapeutic massage therapies, techniques and technologies, including scar therapy massage, myofascial release massage and lymphatic drainage (non-medical) that are combined to uniquely fit each individual’s specific needs. Treatments include the LymphaTouch Pro machine, silicone cupping, specialist scar creams, and home care advice. Louise works across this range of treatment areas because of how they complement each other and target the systems of the body that are most likely to challenged and in need of support. Her approach is a holistic one that aims to ease bodies and minds coping with the physical and psychological effects of scarring and its background causes. Having experienced abdominal surgery (hysterectomy) and surgery for breast cancer, Louise has personal awareness of scarring and its effects and, has first-hand experience of the transformative and immediate benefits of scar therapy massage, and other related therapies.
Louise is qualified in Scar Therapy Massage, Specialist Breast, Orthopaedic and Abdominal Scar Therapy, LymphaTouch Pro Training, Understanding Scars (Advanced Theory), Manual Lymphatic Drainage MLD (non-medical), Myofascial Release Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and Reflexology.
She has trained with Emma Holly at RESTORE and Hannah Poulton at HPT, and her foundational massage training was undertaken at the internationally recognised Clare Maxwell Hudson School in London. Louise’s manual therapy work is supported by qualifications in Healthy Eating and Nutrition, Sleep Consultancy, and Life Coaching. She also holds qualifications in Menopause Support (working with 5-pillars) and offers menopause specific massage therapy and reflexology. This means she is able to support clients whose treatment or circumstances may mean they are affected by peri/menopausal symptoms (and are able or not to take HRT).

I have been having treatment with Louise following a traumatic accident to my ankle and knee. I have seen a big change in reduced swelling, easier and smoother movement and a feeling of lightness in my ankle and knee. My scars are smoother and the pain has reduced. Louise has used a unique combined technique of therapies. I am very happy with the results. I can completely recommend her.
I started visiting Louise earlier this year. Having had quite a few health challenges since age 25, I am now age 57 & decided for once to invest in myself.
I have had a number of operations with resulting scars, which I never even knew there was an option to reduce or improve the look & feel. There is!!
I was truly amazed at the difference, even after one session, my scar looked less ‘angry’, became relaxed and was considerably less obvious, even many years after the surgery.
Louise has recently invested a considerable amount of money on a new LymphaTouch therapy machine, which uses a suction technique, very effective but a blooming lovely experience also.
I do consider Louise an expert in scar reparation; don’t waste any further time disliking your scars, this is a non-medical option & hugely beneficial physically & emotionally.
Louise is an outstanding therapist in her field and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I had no idea that there was even a therapy for scar tissue in Lancaster. After only a couple of sessions with Louise my relationship with my scar has changed. My scar on my leg has softened due to the knowledge and nurturing techniques Louise uses and what I really like is I feel I have a safe space to talk about my scar and I really feel heard. The whole experience has shown me that when you find the right therapist it can be life changing. Thank you Louise.”
I had an accident in December 2018 leaving me with significant scar tissue from the trauma and the after effects of a massive haematoma. Since then I have on going pain, tightness and loss of mobility on my right hip area which has stopping me being able to fully participate in the activities I enjoyed (running, walking), and given me ongoing pain and discomfort. I have had a number of treatments over the years, treating the pain etc. and I was unsure if anything could be done as the accident happened a while ago. Louise completed an initial assessment asking lots of questions about my lifestyle, and the impact of the injury and asked me what my treatment goals were: increase mobility, reduce pain and the fluid around the scar area. Louise began treatment on the scar area involving massage and other forms of manipulation. We decided a course of 4 treatments spaced over a few weeks. From the first sessions the difference was remarkable. Louise was able to treat the area so that there was a visible reduction to the appearance of the scar and I could feel the difference as it has softened considerably. She treated the injury holistically not just concentrating on the scar itself but the surrounding areas and on the opposite side of my body..” I would highly recommend Louise and thank you again for your treatment Aly
