The Restore Scar Colour Checker

Use in photos for clinical and self-scar records

Check the scar colour against the colour tracker and find the nearest match. Place the colour checker next to the scar when taking photos to allow comparison even in different light settings (natural/artificial). Scar colour should change as the scar matures, or as a result of scar tissue therapies.

Outcome measurement tool

Scar colour is an indicator of tissue health. By noting the scar colour before any scar tissue treatment commences and in follow-up reviews this colour tracker allows for a more clinical outcome measurement. Note the numerical value of the colour nearest to the individuals scar colour. A scar may present as different colours along its length.

Different skin tones will have a different colour of scar tissue compared to their natural skin colour.

Lighter skin tones will usually become more pale at maturity.

Darker skin tones may be lighter or darker at maturity than natural skin tone.
