I’m a Vodder qualified Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD/ DLT) Practitioner with over 25 years of therapy healthcare experience.
I’m trained in Restore Scar Therapy and support clients with oncology and post surgical scars, including cording, trauma and radiotherapy related scars and skin care advice.
My Oncology Scar therapy works in conjunction with MLD. Both therapies have a natural affinity working together to rapidly achieve gentle and effective healing, aiding tissue health and increasing range of movement, resulting in both improved comfort and function for the client.
My work enables me to realise the importance of a ‘holistic’ approach to therapy ; Body, mind and soul are the main driver for well being, good health and healing.

Karen has been treating me for over one year now for neuropaphy following surgery and chemotherapy for bowel and lung cancer. Following the great success in improving that condition Karen has suggested and has undertaken treatment on scar area left following my stoma reversal. That operation was over 3 years ago and I had assumed that the scar and the awkward feeling I had was for me to deal with. I have been totally taken back at how a single treatment has not only made the scar area look better but feel free to the point that I am not aware of it anymore. Karen has given me sound advice for maintaining the area, which I follow. I was not aware of either treatment before, but I regularly recommend Karen for the excellent treatment she provides. It definitely works.
Karen is treating me successfully with MLD, for lymphoedema in my arm, which materialised a few tears ago following a mastectomy and lymph node clearance, 26 years ago. She was recommended to me by my Breast Care Consultant.

My scar is old, and I have lived with its little niggles and some limited movement and awkwardness in in my arm, all that time. Now, after therapy, the scar area is smoother and not so puffy, the pulling sensation and pinching have significantly decreased and I have a wider arm movement. I practice Qigong and this increased arm movement is noticeable during my practise.
I am impressed, that two sessions of Restore Scar Therapy could make such a difference to an old scar, I’m certainly much more comfortable now. The therapy worked for me and I would definitely recommend Karen for the treatment.
