About
I have always believed in the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and body and have recognised first-hand the physical, mental and emotional benefits this brings, whether through exercising or through massage therapy.
I came into my massage therapy later in my working life, but it is a career that I have certainly found my passion in.
I trained initially as a Level 3 Swedish massage therapist and then Level 3 Sports massage therapist, before looking to train in an area, that I had always been told (in my early training) was a contraindication to massage, those clients who were undergoing treatment for, or had previously had, cancer.
As the name of my business suggests, I wanted to offer massage to All Bodies and I felt that no one deserved the power of touch more, than oncology clients so I began and completed my oncology massage training with Susan Findlay, becoming a Certified Oncology Massage Therapist. This then led me to investigate more into scars that occur because of surgeries and especially with those who had undergone treatment for breast cancer, so I completed an Introductory course to Scar Therapy after Breast Cancer, with Emma Holly.
This ignited my passion for Scar Therapy further, so I initially undertook Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork Therapist course, with Emma, to become a Certified ScarWork Therapist. I have used my skills over the years, but knew there was more to learn, so I was delighted to undertake and complete the RESTORE Scar Therapy Practitioner course in November 2024.
In late 2025 and into 2026, I expanded my skills further by undertaking training in the Casley-Smith Practical and Specialist Skills method to become a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Specialist in Lymphoedema and Lipodema Management, also offering post-surgery management and compression measuring and allowing me to be registered on the MLDUK register. I then further added to my Scar Therapy skills by completing the Oncology Scar Specialist course mid-2026.
With my enhanced skills, I can treat surgical and trauma injuries with general scar massage, silicone cupping and using intraoral techniques for facial trauma or after cosmetic facial surgery; as well as doing more specialist work with Oncology clients, helping to promote scar healing and reduce common symptoms associated with cancer surgery and radiotherapy.
I am based by the beautiful North East coast, in Sunderland, close to the stunning beaches of Roker, Seaburn and Whitburn; so time spent seeing me, could also coincide with making the most of our coastline.
I look forward to seeing you and seeing how I can help you on your massage and Scar Therapy journey.
