Sarah Allen-Reading Massage + Therapies is a clinic in the heart of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire offering tailored treatments specifically for women.
Sarah’s interest in C-Section Scar Therapy began following her own C-Section with her second child in 2017, where she left the hospital 24 hours after her caesarean with an infected incision and no pain relief. Like many others, she experienced what little support there is for women when you are home from hospital.
C-Section scar therapy is a specialised hands-on treatment combining gentle scar techniques on and around the scar, Lymphatouch technology, massage, breathing, and a diastasis recti (abdominal separation) assessment. Treatments have been shown to help mobilise the area, prevent adhesions forming, reduce pain, normalise sensitivity, and reconnect you with your body. Sessions are self-paced and tailored to each individuals needs. Treatment includes advice on appropriate C-Section scar products and simple at home care.

As a fellow scar therapist, I knew as part of my second C section that I would like to find a local therapist to aid my recovery. After my skin had healed, I felt some pulling into my right hip and groin from my incision. I contacted Sarah and have subsequently seen her for multiple treatment sessions over a period of a few months. Alongside home treatment methods advised by Sarah, I have noticed no pulling from my scar tissue now, a visible improvement in the look of the scar including lightening of the tissue, and increased sensation from nearly nothing to nearly normal.
Fabulous location, beautiful room, friendly service and feel very confident that my scar with continue to mature as well as I hoped!
