I’m Rachel, a former Lymphoedema Nurse nurse with 25 years of healthcare experience. I have spent the last 8 years refining my Lymphatic Drainage and Scar Therapy specialism.
My background is Lymphoedema care, so I have spent years working with tissue that has not healed in the way that was hoped. That led me to work with scars and undertake training to specialise. Sharon Wheelers ScarWork and Restore Therapy Oncology Scar Specialists are two of the most rewarding training programmes I attended; both professionally and personally.
I work with post-surgical scars, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery recovery, burns, radiotherapy-affected tissue and older scars that have become tight, numb or uncomfortable.
There are tools to hand like Deep Oscillation and Low Level Laser Therapy to help with the progress as well as some simple, easy to implement self care routines that can be taught during your treatment.
