How we get your personal information, why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you.

  • Therapists or clinics registering an account: You can register on our website with a clinic or therapist listing, and we will need to store the personal information you provided to share your data on the directory, contact you and related to the billing payments or subscription you set up.
  • If you add a review or a review is left about you or your clinic this may include personal details. When a review is created, the review and it’s metadata are retained indefinitely, but can be deleted by the Restore Therapy Limited website administrators on request. We may allow reviews to be checked through an automated spam detection service.
  • If you submit a blog this may include personal details. When a blog post is created, the blog and it’s metadata are retained indefinitely, but can be deleted by the Restore Therapy Limited website administrators on request.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information is that we have asked for your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us, see the end of this policy document for how to contact us.

What rights you have over your data

Registered users can see, edit, or delete information from your listing at any time (n.b. you cannot change your username). The Restore Therapy Limited website administrators can also view, edit and delete the information provided when you submit a business listing.

If you have done any of the following: Registered for an account on this site, if you have left a review, if you have contributed a video or blog post or if you have provided information about products and links to your business, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Who we share your data with

If you create a listing on our directory, when you register, we ask your consent to share your data may be shared with selected 3rd parties. These selected 3rd parties have products and services of interest to therapists working with scars and injury recovery.

We use Stripe payment processing who will take data in order to complete transactions. Mailerlite is specialist software we use for email communications to therapists listed on our directory website.

Media

If you upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites
