Sarah is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, a Specialist Perinatal Physiotherapist, a Specialist C-Section Scar Therapist, she is APPI Pilates Trained and holds a Level 3 Pre & Postnatal Fitness Qualification.
Sarah initially qualified from Oxford Brookes University with First Class Honours in BSc Chartered Physiotherapy in 2011 and completed her Junior Physiotherapy rotations within the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust.
Sarah’s love for sport and the maintenance of an active lifestyle drove her towards her specialism in Musculoskelatal Physiotherapy. She has worked as a physiotherapist for football and rugby teams, completed a ski season as a physio in France, worked as a physio and pilates instructor in Cape Town South Africa, and worked in sports injury clinics in London and Kent.
Sarah holds a Sports Massage Diploma, she is a certified APPI Pilates Instructor with over a decade of experience, a Level 3 Pre and Postnatal Fitness Instructor, she has extra physiotherapy training in Paediatric Musculoskeletal Disorders from University College London, Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, and she has a special interest in the management of Scoliosis.
Sarah is a perinatal rehab specialist and therefore loves to help women in the pregnancy and postpartum period gain confidence in movement, reduce their pain and improve their overall wellbeing. She is a Specialist Caesarean Scar Therapist and provides a Specialist Postnatal Physiotherapy assessment and treatment targeting all aches and pains, pelvic floor related issues, c-section scars, diastasis recti issues, returning to exercise guidance and overall emotional and wellbeing support. Scar massage and general scar therapy have become a huge positive component to Sarah’s treatment sessions. Being able to help new mother’s optimise their caesarean scar healing, reduce pain, improve tension and appearance of their scars, along with aid release scar tissue that can prevent healing of other components such as diastasis recti, has been a huge benefit to all her patients recovery and mental wellbeing.
Sarah enjoys treating all joint, muscle and pain complexities. She is passionate about optimising recovery and tailoring it to her patients needs. Sarah is evidence-based in her treatments & adopts a combination of manual techniques and exercise therapy to bring about the best results for her patients.
