Ines has been working as a registered nurse for over 16 years, with background in Intensive Care, has started her journey in Wound Care in 2018. With a Master in Science and Post Graduation Diploma in Oncology nursing, Ines has been working with adults and paediatric patients in varied nursing specialities. Became a Scar Therapist this year and has already supported several patients and healthcare professionals in this speciality.
Worked in varied countries such as Portugal, UAE and UK and has also been a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at London Southbank University for over 2 years, where she was the Module Lead for the Principles and Practice of Wound Care module.
Ines has presented nationally and internationally in conferences related to both specialities: intensive care and wound care, and has mentored several nurses to become tissue viability nurse specialists in the UK.
Currently, Ines is a Trustee of the Society of Tissue Viability, in UK and is an active member of the NATVNS.
The latest achievement was to Found Wound Wellbeing, where she strives for evidence based, sustainable, holistic wound and now scar care for patients; with educational support for carers, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
