” Claire Stone is a Complementary Health Practitioner with 18 years experience. She runs a successful professional private practice based in the East Midlands where she offers specialist bespoke treatments incorporating; Scar Therapy (RESTORE Scar Therapy Method and Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork), LTA Cert Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (FG-MLD®), Advanced EMMETT Technique Therapy, ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Table Thai Stretch Therapy, Organic Holistic Facials and TSUBOKI Japanese Face Massage.

Claire completed her Award in Education and Training for Adults in 2015. She has extensive teaching experience and has delivered many courses for 15 years for various organisations; NH Massage, Infinity Training Academy, EMMETT Technique for People and Dogs and now teaching for RESTORE Scar Therapy. We are delighted to have her on the teaching team.
After attending several courses delivered by Emma throughout 2018/19, training in Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork techniques, Claire gained a reputation for improving scars from surgery and injury. Ranging from abdominal surgery, burn scars, c-section surgery, knee replacement, hip replacement, oncology surgery; lumpectomy, mastectomy, Diep reconstruction. She has also worked alongside Emma in a volunteer capacity delivering treatments to support the Invictus Games participants in 2019/20. In addition, Claire was part of the RESTORE Therapy team that attended the Dan’s Fund Burn Survivors weekend in September 2023 to support the survivors of burn injuries.
Claire’s teaching style is practical, fun, knowledgeable, inclusive and down to earth. She is enthusiastic about facilitating learning, sharing and imparting this to others.

Well, my experience with Claire was out of this world, truly mind-blowing, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
My first appointment was for a 20-year-old hysterectomy scar that was uneven and numb in some areas. The surgery left me with a hangover or “baby pouch” as I call it!…lol
Claire was so thorough in the consultation and made the whole process easy, relaxing, and I was excited to get started.
Before the treatment started I was cocooned in lovely warm blankets that I just wanted to fall asleep. Claire then started to work her magic. She was SOOOOO gentle that it was difficult to know if she was actually touching me, the gentle teasing of the skin to loosen the fascia, was so beautifully done ( yes it was beautiful), that I was shocked when I touched the scar and could hardly feel anything, the skin above and below the scar were released and it felt like I had a flat stomach (if the hangover was not there). It was such an amazing experience I didn’t want to get out of bed, and I was super happy with the outcome. I can honestly say that 2 months in it is still as smooth as it was that day!✨🥰
So I booked a second visit, but this time it was for 3 scars on one breast from 1985, 1990 (cysts), and 2018 (cancer), They made me feel less feminine in my clothes and when intimate, as the breast was now much smaller than the left due to 3 surgeries and incompetent stitching techniques, the last surgery was underneath and was pulled up even further when they stitched it up. So it was not only smaller but also misshaped.😒
Claire once again did her magic, and I had the same wonderful experience from my previous visit when she had finished, and she told me to have a feel, I actually could not feel anything, and I asked where it was, by teasing and massaging the scar areas the breast had dropped so much, I was feeling further up the breast for the scars, I could barely feel the hard scarring anywhere on my breast🤯🥹. She held up a mirror and when I saw how much it had dropped I started crying, the emotions were incredible and not what I expected to happen. I had regained my feminity back, thanks to Claire, it was overwhelming, I kept feeling for the scars and hardly feeling anything.
I cannot thank Claire enough for her amazing “wonder touch”, giving me something I never thought I would ever get back, and I can now throw away all those bra fillers…lol!

Hello, my name is Liz and I have been a client of Claire’s for over 16 years. This in itself tells you a great deal. Never one to stand still, Claire is always learning alternative, new methods of treatment, which enables her to treat clients as the individuals we are and brings all her skills, as well as her experience, to every session.
3 years ago I underwent a mastectomy following breast cancer. Claire was there for me all along the way, both in her empathetic, positive approach as well as the physical treatments. All of this was invaluable both emotionally and physically. She also taught me how to self massage my scar, both by demonstration and explaining the healing process. Understanding how your body reacts and heals, is an important part of the whole recovery process. Every woman who has had a mastectomy or lumpectomy (or indeed anyone who has a scar for any reason) should have as many options for treatment as possible. Without Claire I would not have known that scar therapy was out there and I’m certain that my recovery would have been more difficult.
I call her “magic fingers” , and we should all have access to one, such as Claire.

I’ve been having scar tissue treatments with Claire once a month for the past 6 months. I’d see her more often if we were nearer to each other! My scar has improved so much and the improvement was noticeable even after just a couple of sessions. I always look forward to our session because not only is it so relaxing, I get to learn a lot as Claire is very generous with her knowledge. We talk about all things scar related, lymphatic system and more. Claire also teaches me little things I can do to heal my scar each time I see her. This has certainly empowered me and helped my scar to heal faster. I cannot recommend Claire highly enough.
