Ruth McKinnon

Hailing from Canada, Ruth worked as an RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) in Toronto for over 6 years before making the move to London, UK in 2017. Since then she built up a successful practice for herself before taking on the role of Head of Massage with Ten Health & Fitness, with a mission to bring Canadian levels of massage therapy that has an emphasis on expert touch that is both effective and feels good.

This focus on expert touch was the driving force to bring in Scar Therapy not only to her practice but to Ten Health & Fitness. Already heavily interested in women’s care with pre- and postnatal massage, being able to provide this much needed service adds another layer of holistic care that she is passionate about. The simple stats of how many caesareans performed in the UK but with little to no after care provided demonstrated a need to offer scar therapy. She is excited to be part of the movement to bring this service not only to those with c-sections but anyone who has a scar that could be impacting the quality of their life.
