About
I have been involved movement/exercise for over 30 years, studying anatomy, physiology and various movement practices along the way. As a Strucutral Integration Practitioner for over 13 years, I appreciate how the body is interconnected via the fascial tissues and how adverse tension can lead to postural patterns that inhibit movement and may result in discomfort or pain. I utilise scar tissue therapy as a natural extension to fascial bodywork since scar tissue restrictions can also reduce function and movement issues.
I have also trained in lymphatic massage to complement the scar tissue work especially after oncological surgery. I tend to use a light touch to enourage circulation and lymph flow which can activate the immune and nervous system to promote healing. I am also a registered Nutritional Therapist and can help with lifestyle and nutrition planning since the body needs specific nutrients to repair and heal – something that is often overlooked.
