Lucy trained as a scar therapist in 2016, qualifying in ScarWork before going on to train in MSTR as an added technique. She gained her oncology certification in 2022 and now works extensively with the Worcestershire Breast Cancer Unit, treating patients who have completed their treatment after lumpectomy or mastectomy. Along with other therapists she helps them to get back on their feet and regain normal movement and activity. She has also trained in C-Section scar therapy with Hannah Poulton in Bristol. Before specialising with scars, Lucy was a Bowen Therapist with 20 years experience. She continues to use the technique when appropriate to assist with movement issues. Before becoming a Bowen Therapist, Lucy was a diagnostic radiographer working both in the NHS and in private practice. She trained at the John Radcliffe in Oxford, then worked at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guy’s Hospital in London, King Edward VII in Windsor, Stoke Mandeville spinal unit, and in Harley St. London
Mammography was part of her remit as a radiographer so she feels she has come full circle with her breast unit work, from diagnostics right through to treating people post surgery.
Lucy is a mother of 4, now adult, children and is a keen musician and gardener all of which are a joy.
