I have extensive experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in the field of Oncology. Having worked as a CNS at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, The Churchill Hospital, Oxford and North West London University Trust. Recently I left the NHS, having worked as a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist in Lymphodema for the last 20 years. The majority of patients were cancer survivors, many had complex scars. A survey demonstrated that 96% of patients felt benefit from treatments and attending the service. I recently left the NHS to set up a private clinic. Over the years I’ve had the privilage of helping patients with Lymphoedema and Scar tissue. Developing my own strategies to help patients and improve, not just the appearance of the scars, whilst reducing pain and discomfort, but also improving that persons quality of life. Training with Restore Scar therapy has provided a systematic approach to treating scars, whilst opening this treatment to many more patients. I’m now able to work on any scars, but have a particular interest in Scars caused by cancer treatment. Particularly Breast, Head & Neck and Gynae patients.
