Emily has over 14 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist in a wide range of roles, both in the NHS, private practice and sporting settings. Emily is Practice Principle at Trinity Physiotherapy, a private practice specializing in musculoskeletal conditions and cancer rehabilitation. She also works part-time as a musculoskeletal advanced practitioner for a local NHS GP practice. This role makes Emily highly skilled in triage, assessment and diagnostics.
Emily’s private practice work has predominently been in New Zealand, where she lived for 5 years. In her time overseas, Emily specialised in musculoskeletal (MSK), sports rehab and occupational health rehab (vocational rehab). She also has extensive experience working with football and rugby players during roles at Fulham FC, New Zealand Football and Tawa Rugby club (NZ), however she enjoys working with a variety of different sports. Her sporting experience has made her a skilled clinician in the acute assessment of injuries as well as gaining expertise in movement screening and injury management.
In recent years, Emily has been developing her experience in oncology physiotherapy, particularly working with people post-operatively and assisting with their wider cancer rehabilitation. Her scar therapy training is used in conjunction with other hands on manual therapy techniques, as well as individualized exercise prescription, fatigue management and self-manage advice.
In her non-clinical time she is a busy mum of two, enjoys listening to jazz and going rock climbing.
