I have worked as a massage therapist for over 20 years, specialising in Sports Massage. I became interested in Scar Therapy in 2019 after experiencing the benefits of working with a runner who had a caesarian scar that was causing tightness through her hips. I took the Sharon Wheeler ScarWork training taught by Emma Holly in 2022.
In 2023 I had my own cancer experience and after getting the all clear I went on to complete Oncology Scar Therapist training with Emma in 2024.
I now mostly work with clients after c-section births and with cancer patients after surgeries such as mastectomy and reconstruction, lung and bowel cancer. Having personally experienced cancer treatment, I feel I have a good understanding of what my clients are going through and I’m finding it very rewarding being able to help people with their pain and restrictions.
