Hello! Nice to meet you, I’m Annabel 🙂
I qualified as a physiotherapist from the in 2008 and I’ve worked in the NHS for over 16 years, gaining a vast amount of experience in all fields of physiotherapy before settling into musculoskeletal physiotherapy over 10 years ago. This is when I developed a special interest in oncology physiotherapy, particularly breast cancer care and scar management.
What I treat:
I use a combination of modalities that include soft tissue massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, acupuncture, vacuum therapy/cupping, kinesiotaping & exercise.
What I Treat:
– Rehabilitation following breast reconstruction (eg DIEP, implant-based reconstructions, Lat Dorsi Reconstructions)
– Rehabilitation following breast cancer surgery (eg mastectomy, lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy, axillary node clearance)
– Cording
– Radiation Fibrosis
– Scars (eg from breast cancer surgery, cosmetic surgery, c section, trauma)
– Joint pain & Stiffness
– Side effects of cancer treatment (eg peripheral neuropathy, fatigue, muscle mass loss)
– Menopausal Symptoms
– Post-operative swelling
Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, yoga, paddleboarding & running around after my two very energetic children. I live in central Wilmslow, with my clinic a few steps away from my home at the end of my garden (it’s cosy, I promise!)
