Having initially studied and qualified in massage in 1999, I decided to expand my training by studying and qualifying in a Diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage with the highly regarded NLSSM.
Having worked in multidisciplinary clinic settings alongside Chiropractors, Osteopaths and other allied health professionals, I am experienced in working with patients who may be challenged by a wide range of complaints, including soft tissue dysfunction resulting from every-day ‘niggles’ sports type injuries or chronic pain conditions. I also have experience of delivering therapy within an inpatient hospice setting and hospital based complementary cancer centre.
My training allows me to assess, treat and rehabilitate a range of minor injury issues as well as the management of chronic (long term) pain disorders and Oncology. I will treat you using a number of advanced soft tissue techniques including Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Technique and Soft Tissue Release in a personalised treatment plan to relieve pain and improve function.
In addition to the use of traditional massage techniques I specialise in scar therapy working with injuries and surgical scars incorporating fascial release and Scar therapy approaches where needed. Scar therapy is a very gentle treatment for scars resulting from surgery (including elective / cosmetic), injury or accident. It can help with sensitivity issues, smooth lumps and bumps, improve cosmetic appearance and help the movement of the whole area. I have advanced training in breast, pelvic and abdominal scarring and c-sections. I approach each patient as whole person looking at overall movement and mechanics to get to the root cause of the pain and dysfunction.
All my treatments and services are designed around helping you achieve your goals. I’m passionate about helping everyone enjoy good health whatever health issues they have faced and with having a personal interest in running, walking, pilates and skiing I’ve also had my fair share of aches, pains and injuries!

Sarah is absolutely amazing Scar Tissue Therapist..she has helped me deal with an old C- Section scar which has been impacting on my Hip Flexors and Glutes. Sarah is professional, empathetic, kind and provides a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere to receive treatment in.
Sarah is a gifted and skilled therapist. She has hands of magic! I have been seeing Sarah for about 9 months now where she works on improving the appearance of my mastectomy scars. Not only does she work on the surface appearance, but she has an amazing understanding of the tissue beneath the scars, the fascia, and how this affects the surface. She is knowledgeable, skilled and perceptive as well as being kind and a wonderful listener. She is also aware of other issues I have such as a bad back, and will always give me extra treatments and attention for ailments not related to the scars. I have seen a huge improvement in the appearance of my scars and the feelings of tightness and discomfort I have experienced have greatly reduced. I cannot recommend her enough.
I have had two sessions with Sarah so far. She has made me feel that there is more that can be done with my scars and general recovery. I am so pleased to have found Sarah after delayed DIEP breast reconstruction in September 2024 following a radical mastectomy. I have been amazed at the positive response my scars have had to just 2 sessions so far. I was unaware that there was such a thing as ‘scar therapy’ and found out by word of mouth from other ladies who had DIEP surgery. I’d highly recommend her for any scars problematic or not to help your recovery.

I was referred to Sarah by my accupuncture practitioner after having had a double mastectomy. Sarah is truly amazing and treated my stomach scars/fascia and my breast reconstruction area. She was so kind and understanding. She has helped ease my tightness and scars. Plus working on my back to help with my lymphatic drainage and my posture due to hunching etc. I would recommend this therapy 100%. My scars are softer and less red and bumpy and I generally feel much better internally too.
I didn’t know about scar therapy until a friend recommended me to Sarah. Sarah is very knowledgeable and her range of treatments and kind and caring approach have dramatically improved my physical and mental wellbeing. Four years post total hip replacement surgery I was struggling with increasing pain and tightness in the muscles and soft tissues around my scar. It is hard to believe that the light touch of myofascial release can make a difference, but it does. My body’s response was immediate. I felt a ‘lightness’ and a better range of movement with less pain. I have continued to see Sarah and she has worked on scars from other previous operations as well as conditions not related to scars (tinnitus). I always leave a session with Sarah feeling listened to, relaxed and wonderful. I am so pleased that I met Sarah and would 100% recommend her and scar therapy.
When I was referred to Sarah I wasn’t very concerned about my scar after total hip replacement but after Sarah’s first treatment the scar area around glutes hips and quads felt “free” I just hadn’t realised what deep damage was under the scar and how restrictive the scar tissue was. Sarah is very kind and empathetic and I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who has unsightly, sore or uncomfortable scars. My scars have improved after each treatment they feel softer and less tight. One of my scars where my port was inserted was very raised, itchy and sore but happy to say this area has improved immensely.
