Hi I’m Nikki,
I love being a Midwife, It is a privilege and honour to have been part of so many special moments. I believe that pregnancy and birth are significant life events and I am passionate that this moment should be enjoyed. Having had two boys myself, I understand that pregnancy is not always straight forward and without its challenges! Based on my personal and professional experiences, I want to ensure that women have the right access to the right advice and support, and that is why I have set up Nurturing Pregnancy.

Nurturing pregnancy offers a range of complementary therapies to help women achieve the pregnancy and birth they desire. The treatments I offer women are specialised, safe and holistic. The services are designed to fulfil women’s need to be nurtured, empowered and supported to achieve their pregnancy and postnatal goals in a safe environment.

Services include aromatherapy, acupuncture, acupressure, massage and reflex zone therapy (a type of reflexology).

I trained as a Midwife at King’s College London and qualified in 2004. I continue to practice as a Midwife in the NHS. I achieved a Diploma in Complementary Therapies and a Certificate in Midwifery Acupuncture with Expectancy the leading training provider accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

Pregnancy and birth can be amazing and incredible experience but for some and/or birth partners it can be frightening and stressful. This can lead to negative emotions surrounding the birth. Which can impact the relationship between couples and/or baby. I trained with Jenny Mullan, founder of Birth Trauma Resolution.

I have now added Caesarean birth massage to support women in their recovery. This can commence prior to birth and even years after following a Caesarean birth.
